BRMT for Pain Management in Adults Part 1 (St. John’s Newfoundland) In Person and Online

May 25 @ 9:00 am - May 26 @ 5:00 pm

This course is offered in both an in Person and Online format. If taking the course on line, contact Liz Jones-Twomey to arrange manual to be sent to you at least 3 weeks before course.

Pain Management part one examines muscle tension that overload the neck, spine and joints and causes inflammation in the muscles, osteoarthritis of the joints and spine, pelvic rotations and skeletal abnormalities such as scoliosis or kyphosis.

Using Blomberg Rhythmic Movement Training  (BRMT), we test, notice, and integrate primary reflexes and stress reflexes that are overactive due to trauma, prolonged stress, wear and tear or injury.

Part 1 is directed towards participants who have no previous knowledge of rhythmic movement training.

Participants will:

* Develop the ability to test and integrate primitive reflexes which cause muscle tension, pain, osteoarthritis and deformities on different levels: neck, thoracic spine, lumbar spine, hips, legs, knees, feet, shoulders and elbows.

* Study techniques to help integrate the reflexes that may cause a rotated pelvis, and work with hip pain to prevent osteoarthritis of the hips.

* Gain an understanding of how rhythmic exercises can be utilized to improve muscle tone, attentiveness, emotional regulation challenges, learning delays, motor abilities and support many other physical challenges.

The course is a blend of theory, demonstration, discussion and practice sessions.
